Scope and limits

Thin web between two holes

Model example

Two Ø6 holes leave a 1 mm web in 3 mm sheet. Inspect the narrow strip between the openings: with laser cutting (assumed here) it needs at least 0.7 × thickness = 2.1 mm and may overheat, warp or burn away.

Dimensions (approx.): 47 × 37 × 50 mm

Expected check result

PRU-081 should flag the thin web between the holes (laser thresholds assumed; stated in the finding).
